Big Little Wines started as a dream between childhood friends who returned to Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula after years in California's wine country. They brought back small-batch winemaking techniques and applied them to cold-hardy grape varieties that thrive in Northern Michigan's unique climate. The tasting room sits in a converted 1920s farmhouse where your four-legged companions are genuinely welcomed with water bowls and treats. Their signature cherry-infused blends capture the essence of local orchards, while their crisp whites pair beautifully with Lake Michigan sunsets. The owners still hand-harvest most grapes and know every vine by name.
