Kids' Sand Sculpture Contest

Get ready to dig, build, and create at one of the most playful traditions of the National Cherry Festival — the Sand Sculpture Contest! Spend a fun-filled morning on the beach turning sand into masterpieces during a series of lively competitions designed for all ages and group sizes.

Age divisions keep the creativity flowing throughout the morning, with contests for ages 3 to 5 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., ages 6 to 8 from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m., and ages 9 to 12 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. For families, friends, or teams with mixed ages 3 to 12, the group competition runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Participants may only use items found on the beach to bring their sand sculptures to life, with the one colorful exception of food coloring. Let your imagination run wild — no entry fee required, just creativity, sunshine, and sandy hands.
